Why camp at Hickory Lake?

Hickory Lake Campground is situated on eight beautiful acres of wooded, gently rolling lakeshore on Hickory Lake, just south of Aitkin, Minnesota and just north of the majestic lake Mille Lacs. A family destination for more than 40 years, Hickory Lake Campground offers seasonal, weekly, and daily camping in our grassy, wooded, full-hookup sites.

The campground also offers a heated pool, swimming beach, docks, boat rentals, game room, playground, volleyball, free wireless Internet access, and a store with light groceries, treats, and supplies. The campground is open from May 1 to September 30.

Hickory Lake Campground was founded in 1968 as Big K Resort and Campground by the Kleven family, hence the big K in our logo! It has operated continuously as a campground and RV resort for 44 years.

Today, Hickory Lake Campground is an ownership cooperative, bringing together individuals and families to share this beautiful property.
